SANTA LUCIA’S WINES

The Santa Lucia Farm has been producing high quality wines for many generations, with fine native vines: Vermentino and Ansonica for the whites, Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo and Alicante for the Reds. Producing wine for our family means selected grapes harvested in suitable land: the Ansonica Costa dell’Argentario is grown on the homonymous mountain at 300 meters above sea level.
In the Municipality of Orbetello we find the different types of the Maremma Toscana D.O.C and in the Municipality of Magliano in Toscana we produce the D.O.C.G. Morellino di Scansano Tore del Moro and the D.O.C. Maremma Toscana Betto.

This was the nickname given to the last Grand Duke of Tuscany, Leopoldo II of Lorraine who contributed, along with others, to the reclamation of our Maremma. Moreover, this was also the name of a wine which was produced in the past by our Father, one which we have now decided to refresh into a completely new product for our winery.

Power and wealth of aromas, characterize this glass of the Maremma with great consistency and excellent balance. Wine symbol of the Argentario, where, at the end of 1800, our first vineyards were born. We recommend it with second courses of fish and Tuscan cheeses with jams; also suitable for white meats.

Of exuberant density and softness, the fruity notes stand out sharply from this glass characterized by great balance and integrity. This Vermentino is part, together with Ansonica, of the first harvest of 1980 with which the company began in the market and is pride of many awards.

The name, 264, comes from the number of our registered and historic administrative headquarters, where Santa Lucia and our family’s roots have originated since the mid-1950s, and where today you can find the vineyards that give life to this exquisite wine.
