Type of wine: D.O.C. Ansonica Costa dell’Argentario
Area of origin: The vineyard are located above the “Mount Argentario” an historic place in the south of Maremma, just up to the sea of the homonym common.
Cultivation: Sapling rows and guyot.
Grapes: Ansonica 100%.
Harvest: This is an historical handmade harvest. This is usually carried on the last week of September.
Vinification: The selected grapes make their vinification in steel and continue the fermentation in French oak barrels.
Maturation: The wine made a long stay in French oak barrels for 8 months, on its own lees, and goes finally in bottle in the summer after the previous harvest. This is a limited edition of Ansonica made of only two oak barrels.
Refiniment: The wine rests for six months in cellar before selling.
Color: Straw yellow and golden shades.
Bouquet: Great nose, characterized of fruity, mineral scents and persistent aroma.
Taste: Full bodied wine, pleasant in mouth with a definite long finish.
